Internal communications video production is a key way to train your employees, communicate important announcements and increase the performance of your staff. Five on a Bike has been providing internal communications video production for Inchcape since February 2016, as well as videos that showcase how they engage their staff to attract new employees. Having set up an ongoing contract, we provide a range of services including training videos, video newsletters, internal announcements, and many more.

One essential part of the production is training videos, these give employees key knowledge so they are performing to the best of their ability. When a new member comes on board, an induction video is a great way to put a face to a name and (digitally) meet fellow team members in the organisation.

But what if the person in front of the camera has never been filmed like this before? If someone has never been filmed before they can be nervous, forget their lines and not get their personality across on camera. But thanks to years of refined communication skills, our producers make people feel at ease, bringing them to a place where they feel like they are in a more normal environment and just having a conversation with a friend.

We’ve worked with people from all across the company, from the sales teams to technicians and all the way up to the CEO. Representing every part of the company, whether they’re a seasoned pro or new to “lights, camera, action!”, we ensure they come across smoothly on camera and show their own personality.

Parts of the induction process may be essential to the everyday running of the company, but some of the content can be very dry and information heavy. We have created content to support this process, break down the information and make it more engaging. These videos let new employees get up to speed with the company and legislative policy at their own pace and save on having to organise training sessions.

Once a need for a video has been identified, we start with a senior member of staff or subject matter expert from a department. They will put together a script which they may deliver, or it will be interpreted with animated text and motion graphics. During the editing stage, we work from the script and audio as a guide for the final training video. The words are accompanied by motion graphics (this is quite often car-related to stay on-brand and make it more memorable!)

Once we have the first edit completed we share it with them using their company Vimeo account for review, at this time the videos can be kept private for secure access and be made available to a select audience at a later date if necessary. Amendments are then made from feedback, and re-submitted until everyone involved in the video is happy with the final result.
