Project Overview: Promedica24 approached us with the challenge of creating three animated videos to explain their unique home care services in an engaging and approachable way. Their goal was to break down the differences between their service and more traditional care options, helping families understand how home care could be the best solution for their loved ones.

 

Project Goals and Objectives: The three videos aimed to:

 

  1. Introduction Video: Provide a broad overview of Promedica24’s services and how they differ from other care options.
  2. Process Video: Walk viewers through the steps of using their services in more detail.
  3. Hospital Discharge Video: Focus on the experience of someone being discharged from a hospital and how Promedica24 can help during their transition back home.
 

The primary target demographic was family members of care seekers, aiming to educate them about the advantages of home care over traditional care homes and domiciliary services.

Challenges and Constraints:


  • Time and Budget: Creating three distinct yet concise videos without exceeding budget or time limits. We had to ensure that each video provided the necessary information without becoming overly detailed or too long.
  • Asset Creation: We needed to design assets that were versatile and could be reused across all three videos, minimizing the production load while keeping each video fresh and unique.
  • Voiceover Selection: Finding the right voice was a challenge due to budget constraints. We had to rely on in-house talent, but we overcame this by selecting voices that fit the tone and age appropriateness for the target demographic.

Process and Approach:


  1. Pre-production: We kicked off with a call to define key messaging and style preferences. This helped ensure that we were aligned on the direction.
  2. Scripting: Based on the call, we developed scripts for each video. Once approved, we moved on to the next steps.
  3. Storyboarding & Style: After finalizing scripts, we created storyboards and a style guide. This gave Promedica24 a clear visual reference and allowed them to see how the narrative would unfold.
  4. Animation: The chosen style was 2D vector animation with colorful, playful visuals designed to be engaging and easy to follow. We used Adobe Illustrator for asset creation and Adobe After Effects for the animation.

Outcome:

  • The project was completed on time and within budget.
  • The videos were launched on Promedica24’s YouTube channel, receiving positive feedback.
  • The colorful, accessible design and clear explanations seemed to resonate well with the target audience, leading to an overall successful campaign.
