We are looking for an ambitious video producer with a passion for project management!
- Work closely with the Head of Projects to build close client relationships, plan projects from pre-production to sign-off. Building an understanding of scheduling, proposals, invoicing, CRM systems, and calendar control.
- Attend shoots with a director or camera operator and ensure the smooth running of the day. Ensuring scenes are set up to look their best, participants and interviewees are well-informed and are comfortable with the filming, and supporting the rest of your team with any tasks that may help them to capture the best footage.
- Conduct interviews on shoots. Understanding how best to support a nervous interviewee and knowing when to go off-script to capture the best answers possible.
- Occasionally set up lighting, audio, and other kit on shoots. Recognising how to do this safely and efficiently.
-Edit videos post-shoot. Using your prior knowledge of editing practices, understanding how to make the most of the footage, telling an emotional story and meeting the brief.
- Keep an open communication with clients over email and phone. Eventually becoming the first port of call for the majority of clients and ideally taking over as the Head of Projects in 5-8 months.
Prior understanding of video production and editing is an absolute must.
Working knowledge of video editing software (Premiere Pro preferred)
Experience creating story-based content involving interviews and b-roll, led by emotion and experience.
Upbeat, friendly personality with confidence in communication and a willingness to conduct interviews, direct participants on shoots, and keep clients informed.
Understanding of how to complete a project from pre-production, to creative development and filming, to post-production editing and sign-off.
Proactive attitude to working within a team. Recognising when help is needed in other areas and being open to fast-paced working across several projects.
A gentle and caring personality is a must. We work mostly within care homes and around potentially vulnerable people, so a caring nature is needed for this role.
Must be within easy travelling distance to Prestwood, Buckinghamshire or willing to relocate.
A good working knowledge and prior use of the rest of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)
Prior experience working in a small video production company.
Any additional knowledge of filming, camera operation, photography, lighting or audio is a plus.
Any experience with the elderly, dementia, learning difficulties, or care settings in general and how to communicate with vulnerable people will be helpful.
Understanding of budgeting, time scheduling, and client management.
Five on a Bike are a Care Home Video Production company. Our primary focus is on creating amazing content for care homes, to help them promote their homes and their compassionate levels of care through video. So, first things first, if you don’t like the idea of creating videos in and of care homes, then we are probably not the right fit for you!
We love making care home videos, we enjoy talking with residents and learning about their lives, and we love the perks of working in care homes (i.e. being around some of the most genuinely nice people in the world and getting to eat lots of cake!) We find it really fulfilling and our passion for this has made us one of the best video production companies in the UK doing this.
We are based in Prestwood (HP16) so our team needs to be able to travel to our offices every day and to also be able to travel often to film on shoots up and down the country.
This is a really fun place to work, and this is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced creator who is looking to grow their management experience.
So, if you think we look like a good fit for you, and you fall under the right criteria, then please apply for the job. We would love to hear from you!
