Video content to promote your care home is now more important than it has ever been. With increased competition and more and more people using digital channels such as your website, care search sites, and social media, video content that gets across what the strengths of your home are is so important.
What Does Care Home Filming Entail?
In The Home
One huge difference between a typical corporate video and something shot in a care home is the fact that we as a video production team are going into somebody’s home. Most residents of care homes we have met feel like the care home they live in is their home so we must behave in a way that reflects that
The Visit Before The Visit
Typically when someone is looking for a home for themselves or a loved one they might check out 12-15 homes in the geographical area that suits. Then (pre COVID) go and visit 3-5. In 2020 this has changed.
If staring a journey into a home wasn’t complicated enough COVID has added an extra thing on top of all the others for people to worry about.
People are now visiting only 1 or 2 homes (if they can), so it just got 60% harder to attract visitors. Video is now a must-have for when people visit your website because it connects with them emotionally, they can see the space, meet the people, and fall in love before they even pick up the phone.
Investment
One misconception about video production is that it is really expensive, I would challenge this by explaining that it is a long term investment. Just like picking the right furniture for your home, you want it to fit with your brand, be cost effective and last a long time.
We have clients that we made Resident Testimonials for 5 years ago, this content is still on the website and people still comment when they come to visit. That video cost them less than £3000 and had lasted over 5 years.
