Case Study: Supporting NHS Trusts Through COVID and Beyond

Overview

Client: Linet UK
Sector: Healthcare Equipment Supplier
Project: Video Production to Highlight Linet’s Total Bed Management Partnership with Barts Health NHS Trust

In April 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Linet began a transformative partnership with Barts Health NHS Trust to deliver a total bed management contract across four major London hospitals. Linet’s role was not simply to supply equipment, it was to provide a comprehensive, 24/7 service model that would help frontline teams deliver safe, effective patient care under unprecedented pressure.

To capture this story of resilience, innovation, and collaboration, Linet commissioned Five on a Bike to produce:

✅ A 6-minute main video showcasing the contract’s scope and impact
✅ A 1-minute highlights version for web and presentations
Three short social media videos optimised for LinkedIn and Twitter

Objectives

Linet wanted to:

  • Demonstrate how the partnership began and evolved during COVID-19

  • Showcase the scale and reliability of their total bed management service

  • Share authentic testimonials from NHS staff

Build credibility with other NHS Trusts by highlighting proven results

Our Approach

  1. Pre-Production Planning
We collaborated with Linet and Barts Health to identify key themes:

  • Rapid mobilisation during the pandemic

  • 24/7, 365-day service across four hospitals

  • The range of specialist beds and equipment provided

  • The positive impact on staff and patient care

  1. Filming on Location
Our team filmed over two days across multiple sites, capturing:

  • Interviews with Clinical Nurse Advisors, NHS Moving and Handling Leads, and Linet managers

  • Footage of equipment installation, decontamination, and servicing

  • Real-world examples of how Linet’s teams respond to urgent needs

  1. Editing and Post-Production
We crafted four polished videos, each blending authentic testimonials with supporting visuals that showed Linet’s professionalism and empathy.

Real Voices from the Partnership

The videos featured powerful quotes that brought Linet’s impact to life:

“We started the contract on the 1st of April 2020, in the midst of COVID. We did the installation within the first six months of the contract. It’s a total bed management contract that encompasses four sites, Royal London, Newham, and Whipps Cross. We have four teams working across the sites 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”

“Linet and Barts have got a fantastic working relationship. We’ve built that relationship over the past five years.”

“The engineers, technicians, and Clinical Nurse Advisors, they are the superheroes. They are straight away at the bedside looking at what the needs and wants are, and delivering exactly what the patient needs.”

“When something needs to be collected, they’ll bring it back, decontaminate it, make sure it’s fully tested, repacked, re-scanned, and ready for the next patient.”

“We have our Rent9 system, which is an online portal the wards use to request equipment. It’s definitely useful to have that expertise, that knowledge, and that ability for us to reach out and ask for help when we need it in a timely fashion.”

“Through the products that we supply bariatric beds, low beds for high falls-risk patients we’re able to make sure patients get the best treatment while in hospital.”

“The benefit of the collaboration we have, and the uniqueness of it with Barts, is that because it’s a whole service package, we have clinical staff on site to assist nurses Monday to Friday and even out of hours. It’s one less thing for the nurses to worry about.”
