The videos were quite simple person-to-camera shots using a single, Sony FS5 camera, studio lighting, and an autocue to ensure a seamless read. Pete was looking to read aloud all 10 chapters of the book, giving a personal approach to the lessons he was teaching.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_video link=”https://vimeo.com/384020801/8239df577e”][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Pete recorded the 10 chapters of his book over the morning in our green screen studio. Our camera operator and editor, Sakara, managed the day from start to finish. In the morning, Sakara and Pete discussed filming styles and how Pete envisaged the videos looking. Then, they jumped straight into the filming. All of our camera operators are experienced in making those behing the camera feel comfortable and confident, so Sakara ensured that the atmosphere in the studio was relaxed from start to finish. Pete also had great experience in front of the camera already, so he absolutely flew through the chapters and in a lot of cases only needed one take!
In the afternoon, Sakara sat down with Pete to go over his footage and cut together some edits. Sakara presented a few background ideas and they eventually settled on the beautiful river you see behind Pete in the video above – perfect for salmon fishing! From there they briefly discussed editing styles, title card and end card ideas, and Sakara then put together a series of rough edits of the chapters by the end of the day.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][dt_testimonials columns=”1″ number=”1″ category=”green-screen”][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]After a brief revision of the content to make it perfect, ‘Salmon Fishing in the Google’ was complete and ready for Pete to release on his blog. We really enjoyed filming this unique kind of green screen studio day, and Pete was really happy with the outcome.
