The Hospice of St. Francis relies on donations to provide free professional support and care for people with life shortening illnesses. This year nearly 600 walkers turned out and raised a total of £65k towards the £4.8 Million needed to run the hospice.
Our photographer Nick Bright captured iconic images from the event for the Hospice for use in future marketing materials and event promotion. He was tasked to bring to show off the vibrance and fun of the UV and Fluorescent theme; the challenge lay in balancing the low light and motion of the runners. With a combination of a Speedlight to freeze motion and a longer shutter speed to get the runner’s lights, some more artistic shots were created. A steady pair of hands was also necessary to capture images when the shot was being exposed for longer.
“I’ve had loads of really positive comments about the pictures – they are fab, thank you so much. Hope to work with you again in the future.”
– Prunella Murray, Marketing and Communications Manager for The Hospice of St. Francis
